Carmelo Anthony tweets responses to shots by Amar’e Stoudemire
Amar’e Stoudemire was back in his old stomping grounds of Madison Square Garden on Sunday as he and the Heat were in town to face the Knicks. Prior to the game, the former Knicks player made some comments that one could reasonably infer were about Carmelo Anthony.
On Sunday, Anthony responded when asked about Stoudemire’s by saying he didn’t think they were about him. On Monday, Anthony posted a couple of tweets that seemed to be a response to his former teammate’s remarks.

Anthony has been a lightning rod for criticism throughout his career, most notably for what is perceived as being a selfish player. Stoudemire appeared to reference this last year when he was asked about players who had assisted on his made baskets.
Anthony didn’t mention Stoudemire by name, although he didn’t really need to. The messages are loud and clear.
