Caroline Wozniacki’s boyfriend David Lee congratulates her on first grand slam

David Lee is experiencing the thrill of victory even in retirement.

The former NBA player has been in Melbourne watching his girlfriend (now fiancee) Caroline Wozniacki compete in the Australian Open. On Saturday, Wozniacki defeated Simona Halep in three sets to capture her first grand slam.

Here’s the cool congratulatory note Lee posted on Instagram in honor of Wozniacki:

Winning the Australian Open fills a big hole in Wozniacki’s resume considering she had been ranked No. 1 in 2010 and 2011 despite never winning a major.

Now at age 27 and with a wedding on the horizon, things really seem to be coming together for the Danish tennis star.
