Report: Cavaliers, Spurs, Heat in lead to sign Dwyane Wade after buyout
The Chicago Bulls will be parting ways with Dwyane Wade ahead of training camp, and the veteran guard could be headed to a contender.
The Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson reported Sunday evening that Wade and the Bulls have reached agreement on a buyout.

This outcome had been expected for several months, especially after the Bulls traded Jimmy Butler, signaling they were rebuilding. Wade also reportedly felt lied to by the organization.
Once he is bought out, Wade would be able to choose his team. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski says the Cavs, Spurs and Heat are leading contenders to sign Wade, with the Thunder also in the mix.

A previous report said the Heat would be interested in a reunion with Wade if he’s willing to accept a bench role. Hoops Hype’s Alex Kennedy reports that Wade wants to start, and he reportedly would be given that opportunity in Cleveland.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have obviously talked throughout the summer. I'm told CLE has made it clear Wade would start if he signs.

Wojnarowski also reports that Cavs are the leaders for Wade thanks to the guard’s friendship with his former Heat teammate, LeBron James. Back in August, a report said James’ camp was confident Wade would end up with the Cavs.
