The issues in Cleveland this season may run much deeper than we thought.
Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reported on Tuesday that the Cavaliers front office is communicating with players and coaches less frequently under general manager Koby Altman than under his predecessor David Griffin.
Altman, still just 35, is in his first year on the job, having been promoted to GM last July after the organization mutually agreed to part ways with Griffin.
This news come on the heels of a four-game losing streak by the Cavs, who have slipped to a distant third in the Eastern Conference. The general vibe of pessimism appears to have spilled over into the locker room as well, and feeling left on an island by management certainly won’t help matters any.
