Looks like it’s time to start referring to Chandler Parsons’ tenure with the Mavericks in the past tense.
According to a report by Tim MacMahon of ESPN on Thursday, there is virtually no chance of Parsons returning to Dallas in free agency.
Source on possibility of Chandler Parsons returning to Dallas: "No chance."

The 27-year-old Parsons averaged 13.7 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists per game for the Mavericks in 2015-16. But he was limited to just 61 appearances thanks to persistent knee troubles.
Parsons seems to think he deserves the max, and his skillset might justify it. He’s long, can defend guards and wings alike, and is a career 38.0 percent shooter from deep. But his injury history may be scaring some teams away from offering it to him, perhaps including the Mavericks themselves.
The market for Parsons is still fairly warm however, with his home state Orlando Magic being one of the teams vying for his services. If a Dallas divorce is indeed inevitable, Parsons shouldn’t have much trouble finding a rich, new contract either way.
