Enes Kanter Freedom won’t be stepping into Wintrust Arena for a Chicago Sky game anytime soon.
Kanter was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Indiana Fever after exchanging words with Sky star Natasha Cloud.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Kanter is now banned from the arena. Sky owner Michael Alter said that Kanter has “unequivocally” shown the “potential to be a threat.”
Here is the official statement from Alter.
“[Kanter Freedom] has demonstrated to us unequivocally that he has the potential to be a threat,” Alter said. “That he is not able to control himself to the extent where we can be comfortable that he may [not] step towards the court again and towards the players. So that is the basis for which we will not permit him into the building until such time as he can prove otherwise.”
The Chicago Sky have decided to ban Enes Kanter Freedom from Wintrust Arena moving forward, owner Michael Alter said when speaking to local Chicago media.

"He has demonstrated to us, unequivocally, that he has the potential to be a threat."
As far as a lifetime ban goes, Alter said if things change with Kanter, perhaps he will be allowed to return one day.
“As far as a lifetime ban, if someday he’s able to demonstrate he’s capable of being at a game and conducting himself in compliance with our rules and not be a threat to people, might we reconsider?” Alter said in a statement to The Athletic. “I suppose it’s possible.”
Kanter was wearing a shirt that read: “WOMAN noun. adult human female” during the game on Sunday, which led to Cloud and Kanter getting into an exchange.
Kanter also revealed that Cloud had said some words to him before everything unraveled. All in all, Enes Kanter Freedom won’t be allowed at Wintrust Arena for a Sky game for quite some time.
