Chris Paul on LeBron James-Dwyane Wade Cavs: ‘I want to beat them bad’

Chris Paul Rockets

They may be his Banana Boat brothers in the offseason, but come the actual NBA season, it’s a very different story for Chris Paul.

The Houston Rockets All-Star guard took some time this week to comment on close friends LeBron James and Dwyane Wade teaming up in Cleveland.

“I told them guys congrats,” said Paul, per local writer Ben DuBose. “They’re back together there. But at the end of the day, I know Melo wants to beat them bad, I want to beat them bad, they want to beat us bad. It is what it is.”

Paul will be forming his own dynamic duo in Houston this season, but his competitive drive is part of what sets him apart as a player. That won’t change this coming year despite CP3’s close relationship with both James and Wade.
