Clippers get meme treatment after first-round exit vs. Mavs

James Harden talks with the media

The Los Angeles Clippers on Friday saw their season end in shambles. Fans on X were more than ready to clown the Clippers after another Western Conference first-round exit.

The Clippers fell 114-101 in Game 6 against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

The Clippers never led throughout the entire second half. The Mavs took control of the contest in the third thanks to a 13-point quarter from Kyrie Irving.

Fans thoroughly dunked on the Clippers after the team’s third straight year of failing to get past the first round of the playoffs.

Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was not in uniform during the decisive Game 6. Leonard had managed to play just two games in the series due to his lingering knee injury.

The rest of LAC’s stars struggled in Game 6. Paul George and James Harden combined for 34 points on a brutal 11/34 shooting clip. The pair also went 2/16 from beyond the arc.

The Clippers even tried a surprising lineup change to try to shake things up for Game 6. But the combined 58 points from Irving and Luka Doncic were just too much for the visiting Clippers to overcome.

One member of the Clippers was already being linked to another team even before the first-round series was officially over. The rumors surrounding the team will likely grow even louder heading into the offseason.
