Danny Ainge has hilarious comment about dietary changes since heart attack
Danny Ainge spoke with the media on Wednesday for the first time since he suffered a mild heart attack last month, and the Boston Celtics executive proved his sense of humor remains fully intact.
When asked if he has made any significant changes since the health episode, Ainge said he has moved to a more plant-based diet. However, he was sure to note that he is not consuming the types of plants Bill Walton is so fond of.
Ainge On changes since heart attack: “I’m eating more plants, and not the kind of plants in Walton’s garden.”

Walton, an open advocate for the legalization of marijuana, was teammates with Ainge for several seasons in Boston in the 1980s. It’s pretty well known that Walton loves him some herb, but Ainge may have even more insight into it than the rest of us do.
All joking aside, Ainge sounded good and said his role with the Celtics will not be any different going forward. That is great news.
