Coming into Friday, DeAndre Jordan had never made a three-pointer in his NBA career. That changed early in the first quarter of the Clippers’ game against the Mavericks.
With the shot clock winding down, Jordan recovered a loose ball beyond the three-point line and hoisted a shot that found nothing but the bottom of the net. For a guy known for not having much of an offensive game, Jordan looked almost like he had done that before, several times. As an added bonus, it was Los Angeles’ first points of the game.
Unfortunately, Jordan’s success from distance didn’t translate into a good night from the free-throw line. He finished the game 1-for-5 from the stripe with two of the misses being air balls.
That's DeAndre Jordan's 2nd air ball on a free throw tonight. #DALvsLAC

It was certainly quite the memorable evening for DeAndre Jordan.
