Dillon Brooks continued his troublemaking from the very start of the Phoenix Suns-Oklahoma City Thunder playoff series.
The Suns and Thunder kicked off Game 1 of their first-round playoff series on Sunday at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. Less than five minutes into the first quarter, the Phoenix swingman Brooks received a flagrant foul for smacking Oklahoma City big man Chet Holmgren.
Brooks lost the ball while attempting to back down OKC’s Jalen Williams and then caught Holmgren in the face as he was attempting to recover possession. Here is the video.

Upon review, the referees hit Brooks with a flagrant 1 foul. That led to two free throws for Holmgren, both of which he made.
It was all Thunder from that point on in the first half as they opened up a 65-44 advantage on the Suns heading into halftime. That also included a bizarre sequence where Brooks taunted the OKC crowd after hitting a shot … to cut the Thunder lead to 21.

The former All-Defensive selection Brooks made headlines earlier this week by taking a shot at the Thunder prior to the series. But his misplaced antics during Game 1 made Brooks look less like court king and more like court jester.
