Dirk Nowitzki receives funny gift from fan
Dirk Nowitzki seems to receive some of the best gifts from his fans.
On Friday, Nowitzki shared a photo on Twitter of a gift he says he received from a fan at the team’s open practice. The photo shows Nowitzki holding up a letter containing a $20 bill.

In the letter, the fan says Nowitki has been taking discounts to help the Dallas Mavericks the past six seasons, so the $20 is intended to buy the star big man lunch.
Dirk held the letter and money up proudly. He has been taking discounts in hopes of helping the Mavericks build a contender. It’s nice to see his generosity recognized. And it’s also encouraging for fans to know Nowitzki pays attention to his fan mail, as he also took note of receiving a potato in the mail.
