Dirk Nowitzki offered a funny quote after being presented with a key to the city of Dallas on Wednesday evening.
Upon receiving the key from mayor Mike Rawlings during halftime of the Dallas Mavericks-Brooklyn Nets game, Dirk joked that it should have happened earlier.

The longtime Mavericks star received the honor for both his excellent play on the court and his contributions to the community.

Nowitzki has played for the Mavs for 20 seasons and is still waiting to make his debut this season, which would be his 21st with the team.
