Doc Rivers says Blake Griffin could be back within a week

Blake Griffin appears to be a few weeks ahead of schedule in his recovery from an MCL sprain in his left knee.
In an interview before Saturday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, LA Clippers head coach Doc Rivers told longtime team announcer Ralph Lawler that Griffin could be back within a week, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.
#Clippers' broadcaster @Ohmeomy says in an interview with Doc Rivers before today's game, Rivers said injured forward Blake Griffin could possibly return in as early as one week. He suffered the sprained MCL just under 4 weeks ago.

As noted above, the All-Star big man is less than four weeks removed from an injury that was originally expected to sideline him for up to two months. The play he was hurt on definitely did not look good, so this qualifies as excellent news for a Clippers team that has gone just 5-8 in Griffin’s absence.
