Doc Rivers gets technical foul defending Patrick Beverley
Doc Rivers got hit with a technical foul as Game 1 of the Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Clippers playoff went to halftime, seemingly for his blowup while defending his player Patrick Beverley.
Beverley seemed to be upset that he didn’t get a foul call as he went to the rack for shot just before time ran out to end the second quarter. He then went by the referees and gave some claps, as if he was sarcastically congratulating them on the job they were doing.

Rivers then provided some assistance by backing up his player and ended up being called for a technical foul.
It was a bad final minute of the half for the Clippers. In addition to Rivers, Danilo Gallinari was called for a tech. Beverley and teammate Lou Williams were left complaining about calls during the quarter.
