Donte DiVincenzo

Donte Divincenzo was the hero of the national championship game after he led Villanova to its second title in three seasons, and he has decided to cash in on the newfound fame by turning pro.

According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, Divincenzo has impressed teams during pre-draft workouts and will remain in the NBA Draft.

Villanova sophomore Donte DiVincenzo will remain in the 2018 NBA Draft and forgo his remaining collegiate eligibility, sources told Yahoo.

The Final Four Most Outstanding Player had strong Combine, has performed well in team workouts.

Divincenzo scored 31 points in Villanova’s win over Michigan, and his remarkable performance resulted in him having to explain some old embarrassing tweets he sent. NBA teams probably are not concerned about the tweets since they were sent when Divincenzo was a teenager.

Divincenzo showed during the NCAA Tournament that he is capable of hitting outside jump shots and finishing at the rim. He also played solid defensively. Those are the types of traits that should make him an appealing prospect to NBA teams.
