After a somewhat confrontational Game 1, a standout Golden State Warriors player had dinner with the NBA Finals enemy.
Draymond Green and Drake had dinner on Friday in Toronto between Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals, with Green explaining that their friendship extends beyond what happens on the court.
“We was talking s–t,” Green told Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area on Saturday. “And we live in a day and age where people — we live in a soft-a– world to where everything is a problem, and everything is a major issue. That’s the world we live in today, and so when someone sees people talking s–t to each other, it’s like, ‘Oh my God, they hate each other,’ but it’s the typical overreaction into everything that’s overreacted to in today’s day in age.”
It’s funnier considering it was Green who was at the center of some trash talk with the rapper at the end of Game 1. The two have known each other and been friendly for years, so it’s safe to say that while the rest of the world thinks they’re at odds, they’re having a blast with this scenario.
