Draymond Green admitted that he made his pitch for LeBron James to join the Golden State Warriors, and he thinks he was pretty convincing.
In a recent edition of his “The Draymond Green Show” podcast, Green said he would have been “crazy” not to try and make something of a recruiting pitch to James if given the chance. The Warriors forward argued that his pitch had been very convincing, though even he isn’t sure if it would make a difference in James’ ultimate decision.
“I think I’m pretty decent at it. Does it change anything? Does it make anything happen? I don’t know. I hope so,” Green said. “With the things that I shared in it, I believe it definitely is going to make the brain work a little bit. I don’t think there’s a decision that’s been made, but say if there was, it’ll make you think twice about it.”

Green has been a Klutch Sports client since 2019, so he has a connection to James that way. There have also been rumors about them potentially teaming up before.
The Warriors have been consistently named as one of the most aggressive suitors for James in free agency. The opportunity to play with Steph Curry has been their biggest selling point, and the team supposedly has reason to believe that they are still in consideration. On the other hand, James and his camp have been very quiet about what they’re thinking, so even the teams involved are basically operating off guesswork right now.
