If Dwyane Wade’s camp is playing the leverage game with the Miami Heat, they’re doing so expertly.
The latest report says Wade is in contract talks with the Knicks and Bucks:
Dwyane Wade is in contract talks with the Knicks & Bucks and could schedule meetings next week, sources told ESPN.

This comes on the heels of a previous report this week that said Wade’s people had reached out to the Mavericks and Spurs.
This is not the first time that Wade has flirted with leaving the Heat. Last year there were issues between both sides before Miami’s owner stepped in to arrange a 1-year, $20 million deal. But now Wade apparently wants to get compensated for the money he gave up during the years spent with LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

Miami already has Bosh under contract for big money the next three seasons, and they just agreed to a max deal with Hassan Whiteside. They may be running out of money to give Wade the kind of contract he feels he deserves. All that has led to a belief among NBA execs that Wade may seriously be considering signing with a new team.
