One lifelong Dwyane Wade fan had the encounter of a lifetime with the very person he grew up idolizing.
The fan, Dustin Chau, shared his unforgettable experience of meeting the Miami Heat legend while hiking, via a post on Instagram.
Chau said that he has been a fan of Wade for a long time, even sharing that he wore the No. 3 in high school and has a tattoo of the same number on his leg because of the Basketball Hall of Famer.
Fortunately for Chau, he found the courage to ask the 13-time NBA All-Star for a photo, to which Wade obliged.
“I almost didn’t ask NBA legend @dwyanewade for a pic, but I’m glad I did,” Chau captioned his post. “It’s funny how often we talk ourselves out of opportunities because we don’t want to bother someone or look awkward. Im proud I chose courage over comfort today. That was my win today. “
WOW: a lifelong Dwyane Wade fan was hiking and ended up meeting Wade himself on the same hike🤯

Chau is just one of the millions of people entertained by Wade’s electric play on the basketball court. But he was more than just style. Wade also had the accolades to go with his flash, as he won three NBA titles and an NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award.
Wade, who also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls, appeared in 1,054 NBA games and finished his career with averages of 22.0 points, 5.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds.
