Dwyane Wade has high praise for Donovan Mitchell
The player to whom Donovan Mitchell is most often compared is Dwyane Wade. And apparently Wade likes that comparison.
HoopsHype’s Alex Kennedy promoted a story on his Twitter account Saturday that asked whether Mitchell was ready to make a leap to superstar status in the upcoming season. In his tweet, Kennedy said that Mitchell is the most recent shooting guard to dominate the way Wade did. He tagged both players in the tweet so they’d see the article.
Wade not only saw it, but he also responded, saying Mitchell is “definitely ready” to make the jump.
He’s definitely ready. https://t.co/eem1W67Dt5

Mitchell averaged 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game as a rookie during the regular season. He stepped up in the postseason with 24.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, helping the Jazz eliminate the Thunder before losing to the Rockets. Many see him as a future superstar and cornerstone of the Jazz franchise, for good reason. Wade does too.
