Wade was recently signed by the Cavs after reaching a buyout agreement with the Chicago Bulls. Wade was considering multiple teams including Cleveland, and reports said he wanted to go somewhere he could start. That was one of the benefits of choosing the Cavs.
Wade will probably get plenty of rest throughout the season, leaving tons of minutes for Smith to play. The Cavs also have 3-point specialist Kyle Korver who should see plenty of minutes.
