The Lakers on Sunday beat the Charlotte Hornets 107-92 for their first win of the season, which had far-reaching ramifications. Not only did the victory get the figurative monkey off the Lakers’ back, allowing the fans and media to chill out on their criticism for a second, but it also had some meaning for Charles Barkley.
You may recall last week that Barkley proclaimed on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” that he was not going to eat again until the Lakers finally won. While everyone figured that was an exaggeration by Chuck, the Lakers kept the Round Mound’s proclamation in mind after pulling off the win.
Lakers big man Ed Davis, who had 10 points and 5 rebounds in 22 minutes, sent this great tweet:

Awesome. Now that we got that out of the way, I think the next wager should have to do with whether the Lakers win 25 games this season. Don’t be surprised if they come in under that amount.
