Eric Bledsoe: Kentucky would ‘definitely’ beat Sixers

Eric Bledsoe SunsEric Bledsoe has so much confidence in Kentucky he believes his alma mater could beat the Philadelphia 76ers.

Bledsoe was asked during a soft-hearted radio interview whether he thought Kentucky, which is ranked No. 1 in the country, could beat the 0-10 Sixers. The Phoenix Suns guard gave a confident response.

“I’ll definitely take Kentucky,” Bledsoe said on SiriusXM NBA Radio. “I think Philly would probably get maybe one game.”

Bledsoe knows his comments won’t sit well in Philly, but he doesn’t care.

“I know they’re going to be mad, but I love my Wildcats.”

We seem to go through this every year. Whenever there is a dominate collegiate team and a bottom-dwelling pro team, the question is asked whether the college team could beat the pro team. It’s a fun topic of discussion for sports fans, but it’s a fantasy. College teams cannot consistently beat pro teams. The experience factor is too much to overcome. But when it comes to a team like the Sixers which were so obviously constructed to fail, you have to wonder how a series would turn out.
