Ryan McDonough: Eric Bledsoe claimed controversial tweet was about hair salon

According to Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough, point guard Eric Bledsoe had a great explanation for his cryptic Sunday tweet.

Bledsoe suspiciously tweeted “I don’t want to be here” on Sunday afternoon, just hours before it was reported that the 0-3 Suns were firing head coach Earl Watson. Many took the tweet as Bledsoe’s public trade demand.

Bledsoe apparently told the Suns something different when confronted about it — and the team was not buying the excuse.

McDonough RE: Bledsoe's tweet: "He said he was at a hair salon… I didn't believe that to be true. He won't be with us going forward."

Nice try, Eric. If it’s any consolation to him, it seems inevitable that he’ll get his wish sooner rather than later.
