The Indiana Pacers were looking for any advantage they could get during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat on Monday. For evidence of that, look no further than the defense Pacers coach Frank Vogel tried to play on Shane Battier in the first quarter.
Battier, who is always good for one or two 3-pointers per game, had a wide open look from the corner after Indiana’s entire defense collapsed on LeBron James. As Battier started to shoot, Vogel screamed in his ear. It didn’t work.
Can Vogel save his team’s season by screaming louder in Game 5? We’ll just have to wait and see.
