Giannis Antetokounmpo thanks Skip Bayless for motivating him with tweet
The balance of power has shifted in the Eastern Conference now that LeBron James has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo seems to think it has shifted in his favor. With Skip Bayless apparently overlooking Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks star is even more excited to get back to work next season.
After LeBron announced his decision on Sunday, Bayless tweeted that Joel Embiid is now the best player in the East. Giannis clearly thinks that honor should go to him.
The best player in the East is now Joel Embiid.

That’s all I needed for this summer thank you skip! #Motivation https://t.co/IVWcFRzd4f

The debate is obviously a matter of opinion, and some would make the case for Anthony Davis or a healthy Kyrie Irving as the new best player in the East. Giannis is easily part of the discussion, and the fact that he is just 23 should terrify the rest of the league.
Most people think the Boston Celtics should run away with the East next year now that LeBron is out of the conference, but Giannis is hoping to have something to say about that. If things don’t work out for “The Greek Freak” in Milwaukee, one Western Conference team may already be formulating a plan to pull him out of the East, too.
