Desmond Bane has been a big scorer for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. But it wasn’t until this week that he really received some attention, and the attention was due to quite an anomaly.
Bane, who wears jersey No. 22, had a stat line filled with the number two in a recent game.
Bane’s stats included:

As if all those twos weren’t enough, Bane’s stat line came on February second — 2/2/22.
I suppose that’s a better number to have wild rather than six.
Bane has seen a big jump in his second season in the league. The 23-year-old is averaging 18.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game this season.
