Hasheem Thabeet ejected from Summer League game (Video)

Times keep getting tougher for former lottery pick Hasheem Thabeet.

Chosen second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2009 NBA Draft, the 7’3″ center is widely considered to be one of the biggest draft busts of all-time. But on Sunday, Thabeet managed to pull off a lamentable feat that the likes of Michael Olowokandi, Kwame Brown, and Darko Miličić never could: getting ejected from a Summer League game.

Yes, Thabeet is spending his summer in Sin City, moonlighting for the D-League All-Stars at the Las Vegas Summer League. It is apparently going pitifully as the 28-year-old was ejected from a game for picking up two technical fouls…after a call that went in favor of his team.

It didn’t stop there either as Thabeet proceeded to go full DeMarcus Cousins on an innocent seating apparatus.

The Dennis-Schröder-meets-Bebe-Nogueira hair is already unacceptable. The No. 2 overall pick from SEVEN drafts ago playing in a Summer League game is even more unacceptable. And to get ejected from said Summer League game?! There are no amount of superlatives in the world to describe that.

And to think that Thabeet was drafted over both James Harden AND Stephen Curry?? Oof.
