Iman Shumpert reportedly picks up his $11 million option
Iman Shumpert is taking advantage of his contract.
Shumpert will opt in to his contract for next season, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania. Shumpert will earn $11 million next season per his deal.
Shumpert played just 14 games during the season — all with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He did not even play for the Sacramento Kings despite being acquired by them in February.
The 27-year-old is highly unlikely to make anywhere near $11 million a season on the open market, so opting in was an easy decision.
