Isaiah Thomas and LeBron James both seem quite relieved that they no longer have to call each other teammates, and it sounds like it may be a while before they call or text one another to catch up, too.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Undisputed” on FSI, Chris Broussard said he was told by a source close to Thomas that Isaiah genuinely dislikes James.
"I was talking to somebody yesterday close to Isaiah, and they said, 'Isaiah Thomas has absolutely no love at all for LeBron… He felt like LeBron talked down to him when he was there." — @Chris_Broussard pic.twitter.com/1KDmXwmQ4q

“I was talking to somebody yesterday close to Isaiah, and they said he has absolutely no love at all for LeBron. This is real,” Broussard said. “He felt like LeBron kind of talked down to him when he was there. When Isaiah first got there they actually were hanging out a little bit and it was cool, but it soured pretty quickly.”
To understand the situation that unfolded in Cleveland this season, you have to realize that LeBron never wanted Kyrie Irving to be traded. At the same time, Thomas never wanted the Boston Celtics to trade him, so there was bound to be some tension with the Cavs. Winning typically cures all, and the Cavs did not do enough of that with Thomas in the lineup. The more they lost, the more LeBron probably took his frustrations out on the point guard.
Less than a week after he was traded to the Lakers, Thomas has already taken multiple shots at his former team. LeBron also threw some shade at his old teammates, so it isn’t exactly shocking to learn that he and Thomas were not getting along.
