Ivica Zubac says he was not taking shot at Lakers with comment
Ivica Zubac tried to clarify on Twitter that he wasn’t taking a shot at the Los Angeles Lakers with a comment he made on Sunday.
Zubac had 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the Clippers’ 128-107 win over the New York Knicks. The Clippers got out to a huge lead and were up by 36 at halftime. They let some of the lead disappear in the third quarter but still cruised to an easy victory. That’s something Zubac says they didn’t do when he was a member of the Lakers, which is a difference from the Clippers.
Zubac after the Clips took care of business vs. the Knicks: "That's how we gotta be. When I was with the Lakers, we didn't have nights like this. Every game was a close game for us, but now with the Clippers, this team is really locked in, every possession against every team."

Some interpreted the comment as a shot at the Lakers, but he says that was not the case.
You know I’m not the kind of a guy to take shots

Shot or not, he hit on a difference between the teams. The Clippers continue to play well and win even after trading Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic to Philly, while the Lakers have been playing poorly lately.
The Clippers also absolutely robbed the Lakers in the Zubac trade. It’s hard to understand why the Lakers traded the big man.
