James Worthy played for the Lakers for the entirety of his 12-year career, so he’s quite familiar with the Lakers-Celtics rivalry. On Wednesday, he showed he still enjoys when the purple and gold come out on top when the two teams meet.
Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour made a stop in Boston on Wednesday and, despite the history between the Lakers and Celtics, many on hand showed Bryant love throughout the evening. There were even chants of “Kobe” after Bryant hit a three-pointer late in the fourth quarter. Ultimately, the Lakers prevailed 112-104 and that made Worthy very happy.

Oh man. There really is so much to take in here. First, there’s the faces Worthy makes. Then, there’s the clear evidence the hate for the Celtics still runs through his veins. The trash talk to Larry Bird at the end is priceless. However, my favorite part may be the look Robert Horry gave him as if to say “Are you serious right now?”
There’s no shame in James Worthy’s game, at all.
