Jason Terry Takes Minor Jab at LeBron James’ Speech About the Little People

Jason Terry loves to talk and make bold predictions. He was shut down by LeBron James in the first few games of the NBA Finals and was called out by teammate Dirk Nowitzki. But he didn’t back down. Terry remained confident he would make an impact on the series. He was right.

Terry went off in Game 5 and Game 6 and helped close out the Heat. He earned the NBA title (unlike Dominique Jones) and the right to keep his Larry O’Brien Trophy tattoo. A month after outshining LeBron James in the Finals, he’s still tweaking the King with verbal jabs.

Speaking at the Reebok Breakout Challenge at Philadelphia University, Terry referenced LeBron’s comments after losing the Finals. “Well, my normal little life just got a little bigger, so I thank him for that,” Terry said, according to Zags Blog via Eye on Basketball.

Like I said, it’s just a minor jab, but it was intentional. The “normal little life” line is a reference to LeBron saying all the haters were going to have to wake up to their same lives after the Heat lost.

I’m not sure why Terry brought it up, but after beating the Heat I suppose he’s earned the ability to jab LeBron. He’s not going to win any sportsmanship awards anytime too soon, but he has the only title that really matters — the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
