Did Jaylen Brown predict Celtics’ massive run months beforehand?
After their shoddy start to the NBA season, the Boston Celtics have suddenly been destroying worlds like Galactus over the last couple of months. The epic run likely came as no surprise to one of their star players though.
Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown posted a tweet at the end of January that read, “The energy is about to shift.” Boston was 26-25 at the time.

Fast-forward to nearly two months later, and the Celtics are now one of the hottest teams in the NBA, having gone a sweltering-hot 18-3 since Brown’s tweet. On the heels of their league-best defense and the bucket-getting of Brown, Jayson Tatum, and others, Boston is now tied for third in the Eastern Conference at 44-27.
StatMuse noted that Brown’s tweet appeared to mark a major turning point for the Celtics.

It seems like not all that long ago that Boston appeared to be dealing with some major issues in-house. But first-year head coach Ime Udoka has since come into his own, the offense has found a nice balance, and trade deadline acquisitions Derrick White and Daniel Theis have made solid contributions. As for Brown, he was definitely right way back in January that the Celtics’ energy was about to shift.
