Report: Jeff Van Gundy may be frontrunner for Rockets job
Jeff Van Gundy could be returning to the sidelines next season after spending the last nine years in the broadcast booth, and the job he is eyeing is a very familiar one.
Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times reports that the Houston Rockets are getting close to deciding on a head coach, and Jeff Van Gundy is believed to be the frontrunner.

More than a handful of candidates have been linked to the Rockets already since their playoff exit, including two of the biggest names in college basketball. Van Gundy coached in Houston from 2003-2007, so there is a level of familiarity there. While it would be a bit strange to bring a coach back after firing him, a lot can change in nine years.
