J.J. Redick was a fan favorite when he was draining countless shots from long range at Duke, and hating North Carolina is supposed to be in every Blue Devil’s blood. But game recognize game, as they say.
After UNC defeated Gonzaga in the national championship game Monday night, Redick took to Twitter to congratulate the team that was once considered his most fierce rival. The L.A. Clippers guard also called for college athletes to be paid.
Congrats to UNC. Seriously. Also- every player on the court tonight should have been paid. Scholarships don't count. Don't @ me.

While it was one of the sloppiest games in Final Four history, you have to give both teams credit for fighting hard to the finish. Unfortunately, some brutal foul calls and one untimely missed out of bounds call (video here) cast a dark cloud over the game.
When Redick is out here paying compliments to Roy Williams and his Tar Heels, you know they deserve it.
