Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is something of an everyman, and that’s the role he’ll be playing at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Embiid said he will be in Minnesota for the game with the Sixers off for the evening, saying he wants to experience it as a regular fan.

Good for him. He’ll probably gain some recognition from the Eagles fans in attendance — plus the fact that he’s seven feet tall — but he should be in for a good time.
Embiid seems to enjoy experiencing major non-NBA sporting events. This won’t be the first time he pops up at another league’s major festivities.
