Kendrick Perkins goes viral for ruthless roast of Tobias Harris after Game 6 dud
The worst of Tobias Harris brought out the best of Kendrick Perkins.
The ESPN analyst Perkins went viral on Friday for his hilarious comments roasting the Philadelphia 76ers forward Harris. In a win-or-go-home Game 6 against the New York Knicks on Thursday, Harris went scoreless on 0-for-2 shooting despite playing 29 minutes.
“Tobias Harris, let him walk,” said Perkins on “First Take.” “I mean, damn. He asked them if they wanted something from Chick-Fil-A before the game, the team told him yes and he came back with a bag full of napkins and straws. I mean he was just a no-show out there.”
The Chick-Fil-A line from Perkins was incredible and also very appropriate in the wake of Harris’ goose egg. Philly only lost the game by three points too (118-115), so the performance by Harris, who averaged 17.2 points a game during the regular season, was especially damaging.
As for Perkins, his most savage comments are usually reserved for his former team, the Boston Celtics. But that right there was a Hall of Fame roast of the soon-to-be free agent Harris.
