Paul Pierce was hearing it from his buddy Kevin Garnett while paying off his guarantee on Thursday.
Pierce had said on Wednesday’s edition of FS1 show “Speak” that the Boston Celtics would beat the New York Knicks in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series later that night. Pierce, a former Celtics legend, was so confident his team would win he said he would walk to work in a bathrobe if they lost.
Of course, the Celtics blew a big lead for the second game in a row and lost the contest. Pierce then provided evidence on Thursday of him on the streets apparently walking to the FS1 studios — a walk that was estimated to take several hours.
One of the humorous parts of the whole tale was when Pierce crossed paths with Garnett. Here is a video of their encounter.

Yes, that was Garnett telling a person who is walking to “wear your seatbelt” to be careful.
Forgive us, but isn’t it someone traveling in a vehicle who should be wearing the seatbelt and not the pedestrian? People also found Garnett’s positioning to be hilarious. The 6-foot-11 big man seemed to barely fit in the car as he stuck his neck out the sunroof.
KG looks like he is in a go kart with his 6'11' 🍑

Fans loved that. And they also joked about Garnett driving by Pierce and leaving him behind. Of course, there are some who suspect it was all a ruse and that maybe Garnett was driving his buddy so he could avoid the walk, and that Pierce would just get out at random stops to record videos for social media. Either way, we respect Pierce’s commitment to the bit.
