Report: Khris Middleton suffers torn hamstring, needs surgery
Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Khris Middleton suffered a torn hamstring and will need surgery, according to a report.
The Vertical’s Shams Charania reported the news about Middleton on Wednesday and says the Bucks emerging star will undergo an operation. Charania says the Bucks have already begun making calls about potential trades to fill the void with Middleton out.
The former second-round pick out of Texas A&M took a huge step forward last season and has blossomed with the Bucks. Middleton averaged 18.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He played so well that he became the subject of multiple trade rumors.
The Bucks have Middleton under contract through 2019-2020, though the final season is a player option. His injury could result in more shots for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker early in the season.
