
The Sacramento Kings have a big choice to make with the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, and they may well have a name in mind when they wind up on the clock.
Marc Stein of the New York Times reported Monday that rival teams believe the Kings are strongly considering Michael Porter Jr. with the second overall pick, and USA Today’s Sam Amick confirmed that he’s very much an option.

That’s two teams looking long and hard at Porter in the top four that we know of. He’s an elite talent whose lone season at Missouri was virtually wiped out by injury, so part of it is simply a question of whether teams believe he’s a safe bet long-term.
