Warriors consider Klay Thompson game-time decision
Klay Thompson’s status for Game 3 of the NBA Finals will go down to the wire.
Coach Steve Kerr called Thompson a game-time decision roughly 90 minutes before tipoff, with pregame training work likely to be decisive in whether he goes or not.
Klay Thompson is a game time decision on if he will play tonight, Steve Kerr says. Kerr says he will work with training staff and then the team will decide.

Earlier reporting by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne stated that Warriors doctors would prefer to hold Thompson out, but the player himself is pushing to play through his hamstring issue.
Reporting with @ramonashelburne: Golden State officials prefer Klay Thompson sit out Game 3 to protect his sore hamstring for the rest of NBA Finals, but Thompson has continued to lobby them on playing tonight. Decision looms prior to tip.

Thompson has, all along, been steadfast in his desire to play. If he gets his way, he’ll be in. If he sits, it will almost certainly be over his objections.
