Klay Thompson ‘shocked’ LeBron James was upset by trash talk
Klay Thompson had some strong words for LeBron James in the leadup to Monday night’s Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
James had reportedly been upset that Draymond Green called him a b—-, and Thompson seemed genuinely surprised that that had turned controversial.

Naturally, Thompson is sticking up for a teammate here, but they add fuel to what has become a rather contentious series. It’s entirely possible that different players have a different line for what is acceptable trash talk and what isn’t. What may have crossed the line for James wouldn’t for Green, and there are plenty within the game who think that James’s stepover was a far greater offense than anything Green said. Green has to sit out Game 5 now, but this debate is far from over.
