Klay Thompson wants to dunk on more people next year

Klay Thompson

2015 was a pretty good year for Klay Thompson. He played in his first all-star game and won an NBA championship. Thompson also received the first paycheck of his new contract extension, and celebrated with Chick-fil-A.

So, what does one half of the “Splash Brothers” want to accomplish in 2016? He’d like to put a few more people on posters, for starters.

Klay Thompson's New Year's resolution: "Dunk on more people and play in the NBA Finals again."

— Diamond Leung (@diamond83) December 20, 2015

Most people associate Thompson with his shooting ability, and rightfully so. He’s one of the best shooters in the league and when he gets hot there’s almost no stopping him. However, he does have the ability to put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim, as we can see below.

That part of Thompson’s New Year’s resolution certainly seems feasible. So does playing in the NBA Finals, for that matter. The Warriors are off to a 26-1 start and look to be on a collision course to meet the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals. Barring injuries to any key players, it would likely be an epic series, but one Golden State could certainly win.

Klay Thompson’s resolution isn’t actually as far fetched as some that will be uttered the first week of the new year.
