The New York Knicks appear to be on the right track after a string of wins saw them rise in the Eastern Conference standings. However, that does not necessarily mean they are done considering significant changes.

According to NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, the Knicks remain open to trading two-time All-Star forward Julius Randle. It is not clear what the Knicks would want in a Randle trade, but one would imagine the asking price would be fairly high.

Randle signed a new contract with the Knicks in 2021 and has remained a steady presence for them since then. He is averaging 24.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game so far this season and has been playing particularly well of late, with at least 30 points in five of his last eight games. Not coincidentally, the Knicks are 5-3 during that span, which also coincides with the team’s blockbuster move to acquire OG Anunoby from Toronto.

There was some speculation early in the season that Randle and the Knicks were at odds over load management. Whether true or not, he may be available for the right price, though it is tough to envision the Knicks moving him.
