Kobe Bryant on Temecula story: Mamba Army dont ‘f—‘ around
Kobe Bryant appreciates that he has such hardcore fans that they are willing to drive 40 minutes to fight for his honor on Christmas Day.
Well, there’s a little more to it than that. Last week, two men got into an argument on Twitter over Bryant’s declining skill set. It quickly escalated into a full-blown social media war that included a whole bunch of name calling and insults. The sparring went on for quite some time, and you can read all of it over at Black Sports Online.
Eventually, things escalated to the point where the two basketball fans agreed to meet in Temecula and settle the dispute with their fists. One guy never showed up, but Kobe was asked on Sunday about the intense exchange.
Showed Kobe the Temecula tweets and he started laughing. Couldn't believe something like that would actually happen.

I asked Kobe about Temecula. He hadn't heard about it so I told him. "Mamba Army don't f— around."

As we all know (and he proved once again recently), Kobe is one of the greatest trash-talkers in the history of the NBA. While you never want to encourage violence, he obviously appreciated the passion.
