Kris Humphries Overtakes LeBron James as NBA’s Most Hated Player
And here I was thinking it would take a lot more time and a lot more “please forgive me” moments for Lebron James to give up his position atop the NBA’s most hated list. If you polled the fans, LeBron may still find his way to the No. 1 spot. However, Forbes.com recently called our attention to the latest surveys done by Nielsen and a company called E-Poll Market Research that track the perceptions of athletes and celebrities. As I Am a GM pointed out, the companies study the mainstream general public, meaning hardcore NBA fans may still hate LeBron more than any other player. The tabloids certainly contributed to Kris Humphries coming out on the bottom top. Here is the list:
1. Kris Humphries
2. LeBron James
3. Kobe Bryant
4. Tony Parker
5. Metta World Peace
6. Chris Bosh
7. Carmelo Anthony
8. Paul Pierce
9. Dwyane Wade
10. Lamar Odom
I guess that’s the effect that getting into a fake marriage and trying to start your own reality show can have on a person. Stephen Master, the Vice President at Nielsen Sports, said Humphries has appeared on a magazine cover five times and each time he was shown in a negative light. At least Humphries can say he passed LeBron in something. If you notice, Lamar Odom also made the list at No. 10 and all three members of the Miami Heat’s Big Three made the cut. The moral of the story: nobody likes the Kardashians or the Heat.
