Kurt Rambis reportedly only candidate for Knicks job
The New York Knicks’ search for a head coach was reportedly over before it began.
According to NBA analyst Peter Vecsey, former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt is not being considered for the job. In fact, Vecsey reports that no one outside of interim coach Kurt Rambis is an actual candidate.
David Blatt isn't being considered 4 Knicks opening. Never was, I'm told. Strictly a smokescreen, as is search by Jax. Rambis lone candidate

Phil Jackson likes what he has in Rambis, mostly because Rambis is his understudy and will basically let Jackson coach the team from a distance if he wants. A previous report claimed the only thing that would stop Jackson from taking the interim label off Rambis is if Knicks owner James Dolan doesn’t allow it.
There’s one other candidate that Jackson would likely consider, but that guy probably isn’t going anywhere. From the sound of it, Jackson is trying to keep people like Carmelo Anthony happy. The Zen Master seems to have made up his mind.
