Lakers reportedly trying to find role for Kurt Rambis

Kurt Rambis

The Los Angeles Lakers would like to get Kurt Rambis a job within the organization, according to a report.

Los Angeles Times reporter Tania Ganguli says the team is looking to find a role for Rambis, be it in the front office or on the coaching staff.

Rambis, 60, played for the Lakers from 1981-1988 and was teammates with team exec Magic Johnson. He has had multiple stints as an assistant coach (and even a head coach) for the team. He also served as a head coach for the Timberwolves for two years. He’s gone 65-164 as a head coach.
